Course Allocation Through Market Bidding

Cornell ORIE research · Python, simulation, API data collection

Could a bidding system improve how students get into courses? I adapted a graduate-business-school allocation framework to undergraduate enrollment at Cornell, accounting for class year, major requirements, course level, and graduation needs.

Using public course-catalog data and aggregate program distributions, I generated 16,138 reproducible synthetic student profiles and simulated their enrollment choices. In the simulation, market bidding achieved 16% higher student utility than senior-first registration while respecting allocation constraints and access to major-required courses.

Olympics Performance Analytics

Python, Pandas, SQL, scikit-learn, Tableau

I built a pipeline to explore Olympic performance and model medal outcomes using athlete characteristics, competition data, and economic indicators. The project involved cleaning more than 200,000 records, engineering features for a multivariate regression model, and building a Tableau dashboard to explore national performance trends.

Pathfinding Visualizer

Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, JUnit

An interactive visualizer for breadth-first search, depth-first search, and Dijkstra’s algorithm. I built the Java visualization and browser controls for exploring graphs, with JUnit tests for the underlying logic.

Camel Case

Team project, CS 3110 · OCaml, Raylib, OUnit2

An RPG built in OCaml with Raylib bindings. The game includes character selection, playable characters with distinct abilities, AI-controlled enemies, and multiple levels. We used a functional approach to game logic and state management, with OUnit2 tests covering combat, level transitions, and edge cases.

Functional Programming Projects

OCaml, OUnit

A polling system and a Wordle engine built around immutable state, algebraic data types, and explicit module interfaces. Tests cover the underlying logic and edge cases.
